ContentMan is a versatile content management system, designed for non-technical users who need to access, edit and update their web site content from a browser interface. Version control, spell checking, image optimisation, security and workflow elements are all featured within ContentMan. The system will support multiple web sites and can be configured differently for each one.Existing web sites can be easily configured to work with ContentMan, and the system supports sites based on a number of platforms. ContentMan can be run in-house or on an ASP model.

ContentMan is able to handle both user defined structured and unstructured data, allowing companies to accurately define the format of their content with full version control.
The system is secure, very flexible and highly customisable, with multi-site support and open integration via XML, HTTP, COM and JavaScript. ContentMan enables users to include rich formatted textual content and images, with spell checking and optimisation of images when uploading to a web site. ContentMan presents
a simple interface to manage these complex processes and is easy to learn, maintain and use. Designed to be one of the key tools for web site delivery, ContentMan can easily be integrated with new or existing web sites. ESL provides an integration service for clients, but ContentMan has been developed so that clients can handle their own integration and administration if preferred. |

>> ContentMan Compatibility ESL has built and optimised ContentMan to run on the Microsoft Windows platform - the ContentMan web server runs at optimum performance with Microsoft NT Server, IIS and SQL Server. The web based interface is optimised for Internet Explorer 5 for Windows. Since ContentMan separates content management from web design, development and delivery, final web solutions can be based on the client’s platform of choice. Multi-platform inter-operability is achieved through server support for open integration technologies such as XML, HTTP, COM and JavaScript. |
